As soon as you walk in you feel like you've entered another world...a magical vintage world that is. Although it always gets my creative juices going, it also makes me spend money...every single time! If it's not an item of clothing, it is a scarf, or jewellery, or shoes, or whatever else my magpie eye catches twinkling!
Jokes aside, the owner and staff are lovely, smiley people...they let you browse and don't push the sales...but are armed and ready if you need help or advice on something, which is a lovely combo if you ask me.
The shop is decorated with vintage furniture, I am particularly impressed by the giant wardrobe which is used to house special large scale handbags. All the clothes are neatly stocked onto rails, and there is a large flat glass cabinet where you will find very original and one off vintage jewellery (cheaper and 300 times more lovely than a piece you would buy in Topshop)
The changing rooms are situated along the wall about half way through the shop...then there is another room which is filled with clothes which have more of a vintage feel (if that makes sense?) "special" pieces and a whole rail dedicated to knitwear and outerwear. And let's not forget the accessories, oh no! Bags adorn the wall, and you find yourself asking if its worth not eating for a week for the sake of buying your three favourite bags (which you have spent about 10 minutes trying to narrow them all down). Here you will also find a large couch where you can sit confortably and try many of the lovely shoes that they are offering you.
Today I am very pleased to say I bought 3 items which I absolutely love! arrrgh I'm a sucker for vintage.
I have inserted some shots of the Aladdin's cave, for visual reference...and I also put my three new favourite items of clothing which I will definately be wearing this week (in fact, I am wearing right now-seee getting my money's worth as we speak!!)
